Personally, I think a diaper is adequate for that purpose! I got this in hopes that it would enable me to put my baby in the back seat as soon as possible so that I could actually use the stroller as a double (for a new infant and a 3 yr-old). It doesn't help at all. I ended up getting a head stabilizer thing to prop the baby's head with until she can hold it up on her own. The newborn hammock configuration only worked for about 8 weeks, then our daughter was too long to be down there without getting squished by her sister who was seated above. If you're considering the Phil and Ted you should also know that this baby seat does not recline at all whatsoever, so it takes quite a while for an infant to be stable in this thing. I think we'll love it in several months but it's a pain for the 2-4 month stage. The cushy seat addition also soaks up water like a... Read more
